Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since the age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her land her first job as a production assistant for Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In St. Petersburg, she was recruited as a reporter by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. In 2009 she relocated to Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent for KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was used at times as a news and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. There she had more accountability. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She also served as anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The same role she was employed by Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. Within a brief time her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in 2006. When on vacation, Antonietta stayed at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed the job of his dreams. At the time of her senior year in high school but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her preferences. At the end of the day she was enthralled with the school. They also offered her a an academic major. After graduation, she attended the University as an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU in which she is a member. They had a very close relationship. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his passion for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
